Designed for photographers of all levels with unlimited opportunities for wildlife photography, this workshop safari is practical and hands-on with most time spent in the bush. It combines a rich learning environment for photographers interested in mastering the techniques of wildlife photography within the luxurious safari settings of Zambia.
The emphasis is on working together, learning how to get great wildlife pictures and having a relaxed bush experience.
Our personalised safaris cater for up to 8 guests and are run twice a year in March/April and November.
The intimate and exclusive Luangwa River Lodge is devoted entirely to our workshop ensuring personal and individual attention.
The Safari
We use two 4x4 safari vehicles and a flat-bottomed boat so there’s plenty of space to spread out and get in position for the best shots. The boat is a stable platform and a wonderful means of getting close to water-based wildlife.
Our expert local guides have specialist knowledge of the area and the wildlife and accompany you at all times. Robin Taylor is on hand during the entire workshop to answer questions and give advice.

Acclaimed wildlife photographer, filmmaker and author, Robin has travelled and worked extensively in Southern and East Africa.
His TV and DVD series ‘African Odyssey – A Photographer’s Journey’ was screened on Animal Planet and his stunning photographic book of the same title were the perfect vehicles for him to explore and capture the many moods of this under-exposed continent.
Robin’s expert photographic knowledge and his vast local knowledge helps attendees make the most of the workshop and return home with greatly improved photography skills and a full appreciation of African wildlife. |
