Availability
Emerald Season Rates 2010
From 1st April – 31st May


Rack rate is US$420.00 per person per night. There is no single person supplement. This rate includes River Safaris and Boat Trips when available.


Dry Season Rates 2010
From 1st June – 31st October


Rack rate is US$500.00 per person per night. There is a single person supplement of US$120.00.


Late Season Rates 2010
1st - 30th November


Rack rate is US$420.00 per person per night. There is no single person supplement.


Emerald Season Rates 2011
From 1st April – 31st May


Rack rate is US$420.00 per person per night. There is no single person supplement. This rate includes River Safaris and Boat Trips when available.

Lodge Opening/Closing
The lodge closes on 1st December 2010 and reopens on 1st April 2011.

Rates include:

2 activities daily (drives, walks, etc)

Full board Accommodation

Laundry Service

Bar – excluding premium wines and spirits (i.e. Single malt whiskeys, Champagne, etc.)

Park entry fees

Airport transfers

Government 10% service charge
Note: Both International and Domestic airport taxes are not included (US$25.00 & US$8.00 respectively)







Personalised Wildlife Photographic Workshops

Hands-on Photographic Tuition with the acclaimed Robin Taylor
Rates & Information:


Price US$3,500.00 per person (sharing). Maximum 8 guests per workshop – Minimum 4


Workshop Rates include:

7 nights accommodation [full board] at Luangwa River Lodge

Bar – including house wines and spirits*

Laundry service

Daily hands-on photographic tuition in the South Luangwa National Park with Robin Taylor

Park entry fees.

Booking Terms
Our Cancellation &
Confirmations Policy

Full payment is required 30 days prior to the expected date of arrival.

A deposit of 25% is required to confirm a booking, which is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled 90 to 31 days prior to the expected arrival date.

Payments must be made in the form of a Bank Draft or Telegraphic Transfer and made payable to Tamarind Zambia Ltd.

The following penalties will be applied for cancellations of confirmed bookings:

90 to 31 days prior to arrival
= 25% cancellation fee

30 days prior to arrival
= 100% cancellation fee.
Our Policy for Children
under 12 years of age

Normally, children are not accepted but due to the small number of beds we have at Luangwa River it is sometimes possible if the party books 8 beds or more.
